I just want something easy and efficient, so that I'm actually useful, but so that it will be easy for me to get into the game and learn the mechanics. Vanguard / Powertech - tank. Turtle comps are and have always been king in swtor pvp. 1. LS warrior is one of the most fun experiences in the game (don't play any class story as exclusively LS or DS - they're far more interesting when you make pragmatic decisions and actually play your character as having an ideology they follow) and there's a ton of just golden moments in the story. Shadow/Sin is one of my favorite classes but it only comes in 3rd because even running hatred, I only have two useful AOE attacks and spinning in circles over and over gets Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR) has captivated MMO fans for over a decade, offering rich storylines, exciting PvE encounters, and competitive PvP modes. I rolled an operative (scoundrel) and I didn't enjoy the DPS or healing as much as my 50 sage. I just don't think they're quite as good in the story and class missions. 0 where I can play those classes with sage/sorcerer abilities. Thanks to the removal of field respec in wz's this . still have some For me its Scoundrel/Operative, especially Ruffian/Lethality, fun mix of ranged dots/granades, mid range rifle attacks and close range stabbing/shotgunning combined with great mobility (rolling!), self healing and stealth. I never played ranged classes until my sorc. I'm mostly interested in PvP ofc Hope i dont get flamed for the WoW reference Go to swtor r/swtor. Bounty Hunter - Love the story of a hired gun without attachments and someone The fun thing though in case of the "ranged" classes there would not even be a need to create new combat animations they could use the exact same animation for every weapon type, this makes the whole situation even more absurd. The first time I tried it I couldn't believe people can't interrupt me or pull, push me. Arsenal is quite fun simply for the animations of the attacks, but feels clunky otherwise. You feel badass the entire way through. Marauder/sentinel is the most fun but much more difficult as you’re in close combat Also playing a ranged tank is a fun change of pace from WoW, where every tank needs to be dead center of the pile of monsters, and gives you a bit of flexibility. By BobaFurz February 7, 2012 in I'm not sure you've ever played as a scoundrel or operative but we are most certainly not a ranged class. Sages and sorcerers are ranged casters that have quite a few abilities with cast times. Sure, i can Protect my allies and have cool CCs, but i feel more like a pest than a vicious warrior holding a lightsaber. And this all applies to Marauder/Sentinel as well. not anymore. That said, probably one of the ranged DPS classes, sage/sorcerer, commando/mercenary, or gunslinger/sniper. Forums. Empire first time, how about trying a republic class. While it is almost entirely melee ranged, you have some very hard hitting ranged abilities that you can use if knocked back AND you are the only melee class to have a ranged int erupt which is very useful. It's not force user vs non force user for me. I'm not here to cry nerf on the classes that have been shown love. I've mained a jugg for many years, have 24 juggs and over 6000 hours played on my main jugg Jugg is love Jugg is life Unfortunately, the 'learn by going out and killing things' schema is enormously easier than trying to build a system where -- for example -- your conversation choices actually control whether or not your diplomatic mission succeeds and how well without falling into a "make these choices in order for best results" sinkhole. Fwiw I think the consular story is also significantly better than the knight story. They're required to stand still and channel/cast Sniper is also a good answer, has good defensives and utility but more easy to focus down and kill in PVP. It all depends on the current things. It’s If ranged attacks diminshed in DPS/Dmg the closer the target then the melee attacks, which wouldn't would be more meaningful. Consider the mercenary if you do want to try out healing and a ranged class at some point otherwise arsenal is I have a level 50 gunslinger and I absolutely love the DPS on her. Dps wise: For melee i freaking love lethality operative/ruffian scoundrel, the aoes and dots are so much fun, and still most of your abilities have a 10m range so it's a great advantage in closed quarters, I also love that burst of shots at close range both classes have, it makes it feel I used to say Juggernaut was the most fun to play. Im very interested in leveling a ranged dps, as Im most "stand far away" guy. I was looking to roll a new class and get back into things. Easy rotations. Here are s All classes are viable and potentially fun, but the Sorc and Merc are pretty much designed as the super classes. This plus stealth-burst makes them very desirable in PVP. There are pure dps classes also like the Sniper/Gunslinger or Marauder/Sentinel. I Try to narrow down a class selection I think I wanna go ranged for my 1st main . Store. What are the pros and cons of going Commando/Mercenary and/or Gunslinger/Sniper? Should I instead stick with Sag If you enjoy being mobile and having most of your attacks be instant, go with the powertech. I want to play a melee class with decent sustained damage that is actually fun to play. Or the class with the most skills to press I read one post a long time ago that the I think the melee version of what you would think as ranged classes are the hardest so but also looking for an all around pure dps for fun pvp. TL;DR I did not read the entire OP, sorry. 0 as well. Lightning Inquisitor = UNLIMITED POWER) How about a positive thread. every class/spec is viable. In my opinion, Powertech does better with the Pyrotech tree because the other 2 trees in Powertech have better synergy with Pyrotech is my first choice. For this guide, we’ll only be looking at the damage classes. Almost all powertech damaging abilities ignore armore. By Halofax February 25, 2012 in PvP. Ranged classes tend to have a lot of attacks that require them to stand still or it will cancel the ability before it goes off. I'm wanting some info on merc/commando's before I make one, because trooper and BH are my two The most fun class quest yet ,sith inquistor prolog 1 lol I love this one please give me a thumbs up and subscribe Ranged classes and ranged companions have a slightly easier time, because of the reduced complexity of ranged control. On a more performance based note: DCDs are pretty bad except maybe entrench, engineering is pretty great DPS (provided the boss doesn’t move too much), Virulence is not much worse and marksmanship is a sad story. Shadow DPS is actually pretty fun in 3. The class is still really popular in almost every other regard though. Additionally, these Force/ranged abilities are all rather short-ranged, only about 10 meters or so (whereas most of the abilities of truly ranged classes like Jedi Sage/Sith Sorcerer can be used from 30 or even 35 meters away from the target). Lethality in PvP is the most fun; lots of defensive rating when your shield drops along with 20% DR when you use the utilities and heals on burst heal on a roll along if you spec into it you get the 1% every second you get off heals for days with great DoT damage. Run up to foes, when in range pop shield, pop two or three buttons, rain down destruction, move on. I just love running around blowing everything up while I complete my class story. #7 - Operative. Button mashing isn't good for my hands. . For an example are snipers/operatives needed since they seem to be unpopular. Pyro Merc needs to cast Unload/Power Shot to keep proccing Railshots. Engi and Madness are okay, but outshined by their other options. Most fun will depend on the player. Add in companions to tank and it just gets sort of ridiculous. I'm wanting some info on merc/commando's before I make one, because trooper and BH are my two favorite classes. nxm rvvt puemrm qqzbn dwgg wokz kjl nthlx enh dkjn
